Embedded YouTube player in android
Unfortunately, this API has not been updated since many years. We could not make it work properly with Jetpack Compose so switched to https://github.com/PierfrancescoSoffritti/android-youtube-player as mentioned in other comments.

Solution for Embedded YouTube Video Problems on Pure HMS Phones
First of all let me explain the problem. New Huawei smart phones do not have GMS so google related services do not work with these phones. Official YouTube library (SDK) is also dependent for GMS. When an application have embedded YouTube videos, it mostly crashes when we try to run it on pure HMS phones. I was having same issue on an application which is planned to be released on Huawei AppGallery. So I tried to find a solution and found a third-party library.

Yes you can. Sadly I can't share any code on how to, but you can checkout Anko Layouts (although deprecated now and I never used it). I edited my post also, to show you how it looks like.

Pi Practice App in Compose
If you take a look at the repository, you'll find something rather interesting in its dependencies. It uses Anko Layouts to render some parts of its UI! This was an early, now deprecated and abandoned attempt by JetBrains to create declarative Android UI with Kotlin DSLs.
