Why it's been a while since repo's have had trouble being updated ?
I even had to make my own PKGBUILD to update amdvlk to 2023.Q1.1 (I made a pull request on https://github.com/Frogging-Family/amdvlk-opt and it compiles flawlessly so it was merge)

Can't get gamescope to work on 6700 XT
Having amdvlk installed systemwide just causes problems, because it will force itself as the default for everything using a broken layer. It's better to just extract it somewhere and only explicitly use it when desired with VK_ICD_FILENAMES. Tkg also has some packages for that purpose: https://github.com/Frogging-Family/amdgpu-pro-vulkan-only and https://github.com/Frogging-Family/amdvlk-opt

Elden Ring - Strange issues. Anyone seen this before? More info in comments
Since you're on Manjaro, I'd recommend getting rid of any other amdgpu-pro traces you may have left and just using TKG's package for the Vulkan driver. Can then be used by setting then environment variable VK_ICD_FILENAMES=/opt/amdgpu-pro/etc/vulkan/icd.d/amd_icd64.json.

How to record/stream gameplay with AMD's AMF encoder while also running your game with RADV
I only use the proprietary drivers to run OBS, my games run with RADV. Also, you should have .deb packages from AMD, on arch the install scripts basically just extract the .deb packages and turn them into something Arrh understands, and installs them. If you look at the tkg Arch install script for the proprietary Vulkan drivers, you see it just extracts some deb packages. You can just download and install those packages on your system with apt.

What's the right formula to have raytracing working on games?
I'm using an AMD RX 6700 XT, and I can run raytracing in Quake 2 RTX, with the AMD-PRO drivers.
