It's hard to say what your board needs without knowing more about it, but Alpine Linux can run on pretty much anything. And their chroot install will let you make a preconfigured build you can deploy to multiple machines.

A nice feature of Alpine Linux is that the package repository is a relatively straightforwardly-structured git repository containing build scripts for each package:
