Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Many fantastic alternatives have sprung up. Logrus would look like those, had it been re-designed with what we know about structured logging in Go today. Check out, for example, Zerolog, Zap, and Apex.

logrus - Structured, pluggable logging for Go.
zerolog - Zero Allocation JSON Logger
go-logger - Simple logger for Go programs. Allows custom formats for messages.
go-log - a golang log lib supports level and multi handlers
glog - Leveled execution logs for Go
spew - Implements a deep pretty printer for Go data structures to aid in debugging
loggo - A logging library for Go. Doesn't use the built in go log standard library, but instead offers a replacement.
logutils - Utilities for slightly better logging in Go (Golang).
