Emba, an open source firmware analyzer, has received many new features and improvements recently. Under its hood are many of the most popular static analysis tools that you don't have to use manually, just run emba and find all sorts of possible vulnerabilities. https://github.com/e-m-b-a/emba

Ghidra is a Decompiler for reverse engineering and emba is a firmware analyzer. It's main focus is Linux-based firmware and it checks for typical configuration files or passwords and so on. After extracting the firmware image emba checks for a root filesystem and will analyze it's content. Additional for non-Linux-based firmware there is a check for version numbers. There are all features of emba listed: https://github.com/e-m-b-a/emba/wiki/Feature-overview2 projects | /r/Hacking_Tutorials | 18 Jun 2021
The main focus is Linux, but emba is also able to analyze other firmware: https://github.com/e-m-b-a/emba/wiki/OS-support
