Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.

How can search engine settings be so broken? No sync?
I'm attempting to switch back to Firefox from Chrome. It seems like the ability to customize search engines in FF is kind of broken. Yes adding an "open search" site is supported but adding other search engines manually requires requires a special plugin or special settings (see also this bug report).
- How to add local google search to default search engine?
- Is there an Add-on for desktop that lets you manually add search engines like you can do with the %s string on mobile?

You said that you don't want to install anything, but if you do install this extension, you can easily do this: Add custom search engine. You can uninstall it afterwards. It was developed by someone who works for Mozilla.

You can pick your own settings by cloning or forking the repo at: https://github.com/yellowhat/searx-heroku. Then set that as the github it deploys from, and turn on automatic updates. Every time you make a change, the dyno will update, and drop in your settings file.
