Is there any alternative to the Smart Referer add-on for Firefox?
Now the problem is that it hasn't been updated since 3 years(last updated on Dec 18, 2019 according to AMO). Last commit on its gitlab repository was done on Sept 15, 2020. Now I am no developer, but I am sure that there has been quite a few changes in Firefox and some heavily discussed changes like MV3 and others are making its way to the browser as well. The add-on seems to have been abandoned by the developer judging by the activity in the repository.

How do I unbreak a website when it's related to Smart referer?
Well there's a read me here that talks about whitelists etc. From a quick look it seems like you could probably accomplish the same thing with ClearURLs or similar. The default whitelist seems to be out of date by three years. Isn't this thing abandoned?

Question: Does Brave and/or Firefox anonymize/hide the HTTP Referrer header?
If not, is there an option too? I saw this (GitLab - Smart Referrer) but I wasn't sure if it was necessary if Firefox and/or Brave already does this for me.
