The system has been destroyed. Any fix?
Download this, extract it and open a cmd in the extracted folder. Run gradlew.bat run and it should run XiaoMiToolV2. Try to unlock the bootloader from there (select the unbrick option, select your device and it will ask you if you want to unlock).

Can't unlock the bootloader on my Mi Mix 3
I'm using Linux on both of my computers, and XiaoMiTool didn't work natively. I tried running a Windows 10 VM in VirtualBox, but neither fastboot, nor MiUnlock seems to see the device, even after installing the drivers, and enabling USB passthrough… Does anyone know how I can get this to work? Would really like to use a custom rom on my phone…

Phone not detecting sim after installing MIUI 13
I have a MI 10 phone (8 Gb ram, 256 Memory, global version). A few weeks ago, my phone got into a reboot loop, and I tried everything to get it out of the loop, but I couldn't. Since my bootloader was locked, I had to install a ROM that did not require an unlocked bootloader. Using XiaomiTool V2 and its bricked phone option, I successfully installed the only possible ROM with this option which was an MIUI 13 fastboot ROM, and my phone works properly now. However, it does not detect my sim card, and because of this, I also can't unlock the boot loader to install another ROM to see if the problem goes away.

To those wondering, Mi laptops officially support Linux.
1. `sudo apt install git openjdk-11-jre openjdk-11-jdk gradle` - I am not sure all of this is required 2. `git clone https://github.com/francescotescari/XiaoMiToolV2.git && cd XiaoMiToolV2 && git checkout linux` 3. `cd XiaoMiToolV2` 4. Edit line 39 of `src/main/java/com/xiaomitool/v2/gui/controller/LoginController.java `, change it to: `private static final String LOGIN_URL = "https://account.xiaomi.com/pass/serviceLogin?sid=unlockApi&json=false&passive=true&hidden=false&_snsDefault=facebook&checkSafePhone=true&_locale=" + Locale.getDefault().getLanguage().toLowerCase();` 5. `./gradlew build && ./gradlew run` 6. I chose "Global" region and logged in, it required 2FA to be sent to the phone. 2FA entry form didn't quite fit the window but I was able to enter the code and authenticate, then after a warning screen it showed the above confirmation.

Thinking of installing a custom ROM, any suggestions?
You could also try https://github.com/fawazahmed0/Latest-adb-fastboot-installer-for-windows bother reinstalling Windows 10. I unlocked and flashed TWRP on my MIX 2 from a Windows 11 Dev .160 build last week. I had never installed any drivers all these years because ADB was working with default setup on Win 10 and 11 but this time fastboot was not recognising the device so I had to look around for drivers. There is no info anywhere where I could find the latest Xiaomi and Qualcomm drivers and most sites had very old ones. I then found this tool linked somewhere and used it.
