The other bar addon you could look into is Bazooka: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/bazooka. That vs ChocolateBar is a matter of preference, really, if you want to get away from Titan Panel. Many people use the built-in for ElvUI and its various locations and I like and use XIV Databar as part of ToxiUI: https://github.com/Vicious-wow/XIV_Databar, both of which have the micromenu options you’re seeking, but I know you said you’re not a fan of “prefab.”

Microsoft and Nvidia Announce Expansive New Gaming Deal
There are already mods like ConsolePort which allow you to map abilities and actions to certain button combinations. Certainly not straight forward, but it's allowed for playing WoW on the steam deck, for instance.

Consoleport for steamdeck
I think what you're really asking about is playing WoW over Steam Remote Play, which can be done. There are instructions for Console Port here: https://github.com/seblindfors/ConsolePort/wiki/1.-Instructions
- PSA: If you want to play World of Warcraft comfortably on the Steam Deck, be sure to install ConsolePort!

Can I use a ps 4 controller or steam remote play.
In the newer clients (Legion and beyond) you can use ConsolePort to get this to work, but it's not been backported to most of the clients used by the private server community.
