Win11Debloat VS windows-playbook

Note that modern Linux is also leaning towards the same trend. But i admit it is still much easier to avoid those for power users. Snap, i'm looking at you also...

For my Windows, I first run a ‘debloat’ script to remove all of the unnecessary bloatware that is included with Windows. This is the one I use. Afterward, I use Macrium Reflect to back up both my OS and my Games storage onto two separate storage drives (all internal m.2 drives). After that, regular cleaning of the disks using Disk Cleanup, maybe one/week, and everything runs smoothly.

You can remove it by disabling bing in the windows search. This script has a registry file for it: https://github.com/Raphire/Win11Debloat

I'm a fan of using a debloat script.

Most of the bloat can be removed with powershell commands, many of which can be found in lots of articles online with a search. This script removes some typical stuff.

However for what you're trying to do that's the wrong approach. You want to use an ansible playbook if you want to reproducibly set up your workstation, such as this one: https://github.com/AlexNabokikh/windows-playbook

Hi, Ansible community! This weekend I was migrating one of my home machines to the new Windows 11. In the process of reinstalling, I decided it was time to automate the configuration and created an ansible playbook that does most of the work of preparing the system. It installs software that I need, configure wsl2, taskbar, explorer, cleans up the desktop from icons, etc. There is still a lot of stuff that I want to add, such as startup menu and taskbar icons automatic pin/unpin, but at this point, it already does a pretty good job.
