WeakAuras2 VS wow-ui-source

You have to edit the region, as explained here. Sadly there isn't an example for doing exactly what you need.

Don't update your addons today in EU/ASIA, if you installed WeakAuras 5.5 revert to previous version 5.4.4. If you are unsure how to revert to previous version you can either download them directly via https://github.com/WeakAuras/WeakAuras2/releases/download/5.4.4/WeakAuras-5.4.4.zip or https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/weakauras-2/download/4464593 or go into your AddonUpdater of choice and select the 5.4.4 version (be sure to install Release version and not an Alpha)

Here is an article about taint and why it is important. Here is the stance on Protected Frames in WeakAuras. I would have coded this to use protected frames, but they are not allowed in auras (the interface throws an error if you try). So, in the aura I coded, the frame is disabled during combat to avoid possible taint. So if you get attacked while on Page2 while farming you might want a keybind to reset it back to Page1 so you can attack.

In order to achieve the same kind of thing for opening more menus at once, I bet you could find the function that's called when opening a menu in Blizzard's addon source code, available here and replace it with your own implementation which does not close the other menus, or at least the menus you want to leave open.

The UI code can literally be read on Github and I wouldn't call it spaghetti.

The World of Warcraft client uses Lua scripting, paired with its own API, to show things, do things, or otherwise allow the player to input commands and interact with the game. The WoW API is officially documented here, but [Wowpedia](www.wowpedia.fandom.com) does a good job of explaining what everything does on their World of Warcraft API page.

As for extracting the files, there is a way and I'll link you how to do it but I honestly never did it because you can get access to the files online which is less work by checking this GitHub for code, this one for textures or this online tool for almost anything related to WoW development for example. If you really want to extract from your game, this is how you do it.

A huge amount of the native UI is implemented exactly the same way as addons. The game even gives you a way to dump it to a folder so you can look at it. Here's one of the many mirrors of the code online: https://github.com/Gethe/wow-ui-source - notice what that first folder is called?

Looking at the API documentation it seems that's supported in client 2.5.1 (TBC Classic).
