How to Improve an Intel MacBook's Battery Life by Changing CPU Wattage
I own a 2015 MacBook Pro 13", and do not plan on purchasing a new MacBook soon. I recently searched for how to improve battery life, and accidentally stumbled upon undervolting when I forgot to add "mac" at the end of my search. My curiosity was piqued, and I looked into it more. It turns out that there is one tool for undervolting a Mac, called voltageshift. It can be found on Github here, and is written by siscreative, abn5x, ridvan-cln, Artoria2e5, and Charlyo.

Big Sur on Acer Aspire A315-56-327T
Additionally, I did undervolt CPU & GPU to reduce the heat a bit and save some battery with VoltageShift (it’s still not good though, I get like 4 hours of SoT total.)

z97 pro ac wifi + i7 4790K manual vcore setup hangs clover 5119 boot process (OTOH, the same settings make windows 8 boot and work perfectly), any hint to address that Clover boot hang?
Yeah, I gotcha what you're trying to do though the official method for the said action was using the VoltageShift (https://github.com/sicreative/VoltageShift). So with it you'd build a launch daemon to start things up with the appropriate parameters. But just brainstorming upon your particular set of issues, I think you should maybe look into rebuilding your PM settings in the exact same way you generate the pmset upon building up the new machine. Which means deleting the two pmset files and letting macOS generate the new ones upon the restart, which, in whole honesty, might be the culprit seeing how the CPU has changed in the meantime and it could be the culprit. Obviously this is just an in-theory post but nevertheless something I'd look into.

[Big Sur] How to restore Performance on an Intel MacBook with tripped sensors/BD_PROCHOT.
This solution, just like in Windows, is unfortunately not permanent and will have to be applied on boot, and every time you wake the computer from sleep or hibernation. We will be using the latest release of VoltageShift, an Open-source software that allows us to modify MSR and undervolt. Do note that this only works on Haswell machines and newer. There's a chance you could use CPUTune or other software that is able to write to MSR values directly, but this guide exclusively focuses on VoltageShift.

need opinions on formatting
Personally, I really like Davinci Resolve. It’s a great free editor with plenty of YouTube videos showing how to use it. Here is one of my favorites.

Should I Add To Youtube Too?
Davinci Resolve is a free, and fantastic video editing software. What I would do is exit you audio as normal. Once you have your final project, render it out as a single file. Use Resolve to bring in the final single file audio. Grab an image of your podcast logo, and drag it to the ends of the audio file. You can then export the whole project to a YouTube friendly format. Uploead that file to YouTube, and you should be good to go. You can go deeper, and add your own subtitles, maybe helpful graphics on what you are talking about, or make highlights of an episode. Program is pretty powerful, and is used in a lot of video production professionally. https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve/

Microsoft no longer signs Windows drivers for Process Hacker
> I'd love to see an alternative world where everything has an equivalent open-source software that people can switch to
Keep in mind that software doesn't need to be open source to run on Linux. Developers can still support the Linux ecosystem by porting proprietary software to Linux.
Examples of proprietary Linux software that is used professionally:
- DaVinci Resolve (video editing suite): https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve/
- Bitwig Studio (digital audio workstation): https://www.bitwig.com
- JetBrains Rider (IDE for .NET): https://www.jetbrains.com/rider/
