The number of mentions indicates the total number of mentions that we've tracked plus the number of user suggested alternatives.

I think what you're looking for is Scenery mod. It allows you to change the background on the fly. It's what I use to change the background for Theater of the Mind stuff.

There's also the Scenery module that lets the GM alternate between differente versions of the same scene, but I haven't tested it out yet.

Is they a way to replace a map without losing everything I've added?
There is a nice module called Scenery that allows to have more than one background image for one scene and switch between them dynamically. For each background, you can pick if they are visible to the players and/or the GM. It supports animated background as well. I use it sometime to make a cutscene with two versions of an image (one with extra details), depending on the players Perception roll... You can also use it to show the same map before and after a battle or major event for example. Lots of possibilities indeed.
