Current state of the situation: SDG has stopped developing the UDP tileset, at least for now. He also deleted the Discord server that he had created to organize his work on the project. From the readme file on the tileset repo on Github, in addition to a history of transphobic statements elsewhere, his reasons for doing this seem to be very clear. Before making any misinformed comments on the change, you should also read the actual conversation surrounding the PR first to ensure you are not making any stupid statements.

I use Kenan's continuation of the Otopack because it not only covers all basegame sounds and has a ton of music (and if you dont' like it, there are ways to replace it with music from other packs or your own music) but it also covers the most mods as well.

If you would like sound effects for your game, it will require you to manually install the file. I like to use the ottopack soundpack, which is found on github. You would just download the zip from the green code button, extract the zip, and move the zip into Cataclysm's sounds folder. You would then be able to enable sounds in the game options.

I personally use ZArchiver. It's a matter of downloading Otopack updated from https://github.com/Kenan2000/Otopack-Mods-Updates Follow the instructions given there. You can find the zip file you just downloaded from their github in "Downloads" using ZArchiver and extracting it. Then the contents of that sound mod pack go "storage/emulated/0/Android/com.cleverraven.cataclysmdda.experimental/files/data/sound" Then just drop the "Otopack+ModsUpdates" folder there.

Maybe not the best person to ask because I only recently started playing, but I've been using the Otopack soundpack from here and I've really been enjoying it. Great mix of music and ambient tracks, and all the other sounds seem appropriate and well done.

It’s simple, download and extract your soundpack of choice (I prefer Otopack), then put the folder in data/sound.
