I've built an alternative to the unmaintained custom-electron-titlebar
I was using custom-electron-titlebar for my project Transmissionic, unfortunately, the author has stopped maintaining it, so it no longer works with electron 14. That's why I decided to create my own alternative with very similar features.

How does the titlebar have a custom color in some applications like WhatsApp Web and Microsoft Teams?
WhatsApp is an Electron app. To achieve this, they use FramelessWindow and draw custom titlebar and, probably, shadows. To determine button sizes just measure it and multiply by DPI scaling. There's a library for that.
