Attempting to switch to efistub from Grub. What have I done wrong?
If live media is around and you do know about efibootmgr commands why not delete grub entry. One more thing after creating your boot enteries can you shutdown your pc and then after 10s power it on. Also after creating boot enteries, go and check your bios to see boot order. Or I can ask you to give try to aufii and if it helps.

Custom Artix Linux install script
I will try to go on this route. I have implemented not only grub but uefistub and systemd-boot. I personally love uefistub. It is much cleaner. I cam across a script generating uefistub eneteries. Unfortunately it wasnt maintained any more. So i modified it to accommodate newest filesystems aufii. I would love some feedback on arch installer script. Let me use yours and come back to you
