What are adguard collect when using public dns resolver ?
Did they say anything about whether it will allow you to use custom filters? I would like to use TheFuckingList I have been using it since two months now in my Adguard Home installation and I'm pretty happy a though you need to create a whitelist for some services like Spotify.

Block DNS over HTTPS (DoH)
If you want how I did it I blocked the list on my personal page here to all ports outbound then I have an allowlist for certain ports as I have come accross them. Its near the end on ip blocklists for doh blocking. https://github.com/pallebone/PersonalPiholeListsPAllebone
