The number of mentions indicates the total number of mentions that we've tracked plus the number of user suggested alternatives.
Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Exploring TermGPT: A Powerful Tool for Terminal-based Interactions with GPT
Today, I want to introduce you to an exciting project I recently stumbled upon - TermGPT. This Python-based project leverages the power of OpenAI's GPT models and brings it to your terminal, enabling a whole new level of interaction!

Let's be honest: none of the models can code well

Opinion: I wish some of us would focus on smaller (and diverse) models

BigCode's StarCoder & StarCoder Plus; HuggingfaceH4's StarChat Beta
You have to prompt starcoder with fill-in-the-middle or another style it's been trained on: https://github.com/the-crypt-keeper/tiny_starcoder

Let's be honest: none of the models can code well
"Fill in the middle" prompting for code is what I think you mean by "coding in diffs" and is super neat! I have some examples here: https://github.com/the-crypt-keeper/tiny_starcoder

bigcode/tiny_starcoder_py is a 159M parameter model that runs on 2GB GPU and can generate python code
The examples on the huggingface page are both incomplete and incorrect, check out https://github.com/the-crypt-keeper/tiny_starcoder for a fully working example of the 4 supporting prompting styles.. the infill capability is especially interesting IMO.
