why do people say i2p is tough to set up?
I have this third thing, too, which tries to approach the Tor Browser level of ease for I2P: i2p.plugins.tor-manager it actually manages both a Tor Browser and an I2P install at the same time. It's got a good chance of being the best one in the end, but it's also the newest and least mature.

I installed anonsurf in Linux Mint, but when I start the service, the connection doesn't work. Somebody can help me with this? (logs) Its an interesting tool to me. If couldn't works, somebody any free alternative app to navigate anonymously in Linux Mint?
Instead, you should use torbrowser-launcher from Micah Lee of the FOPF, or if you're feeling courageous, my clone of torbrowser-launcher i2p.plugins.tor-manager. Micah's contributions have mostly gone in the Tor-facing direction, mine tend to work better for I2P. The best way to get both of them on Linux right now is as a flatpak, this is Micah's flathub build and this is my flatpak repository. Mine's newer and does more(I2P Stuff), Micah's is more mature but doesn't do I2P.

Help: been trying to set up on M1 Mac for 8 hours
Let me know if either of these options work for you. If not, I have some other options for you but they're still slightly trickier pull off, especially on Mac. Working on it though. Like actively checking stuff in: https://github.com/eyedeekay/i2p.plugins.tor-manager/commit/cfdfc5a092d4d805e5f874648ba42155fb4c92c0 as I sit here.
