ESP32-S2 - mount sd card as MSC (gadget mode) R/W?
Picked up a LilyGO T-Dongle (ESP32-S2) and going through their github (https://github.com/Xinyuan-LilyGO/T-Dongle-ESP32S2), they only have an example for reading the NAND over USB, via MSC. Has anyone been able to get the SD accessible for read and write in device mode on this or any other ESP32-S2 board? Tried using chegewara's EspTinyUSB, but couldn't get the device to appear in OTG mode.

Which device for both a USB drive and a wifi upload
So to catch everyone up, Maypole was written specifically for the Maypole device and will take significant work to port to a generic ESP32-S2 device. Found a LILYGO T-Dongle (https://github.com/Xinyuan-LilyGO/T-Dongle-ESP32S2) with OTG capabilities built in, but I can't get it to read the SD card yet while in device mode.

End goal would to get a variant of Maypole (https://github.com/akshar001/Maypole_firmware) to work on it, but at this point I'd settle for functional SD access over gadget mode.

Looking for hardware ideas to serve as usb storage device and a wifi repo
Thanks for the suggestions. I posted here just to get the adafruit hardware point of view, i.e. Feather vs generic esp or pi. I'm going the ESP32 route using some software called Maypole (https://github.com/akshar001/Maypole_firmware) that someone in the ESP8266/ESP32 groups knew of.

Is there such a thing as a wireless microsd card reader ? (micro portable wireless mass storage for android phones)
The closest I have found so far is the "Maypole"
