Affordable OLKBs for many students?
Take a look at https://scottokeebs.com, he has a lot of open source designs that involve hand-soldering so no PCB required. Just 3d print a case top and bottom, add switches, diodes, wire, ucontroller, cheap blank keycaps, and some soldering work. With bulk purchases it might be below the €30 threshold (filament might push you over budget?)

Safe to say I’ve been prototyping a lot for my next handwired build…
I teased this build months ago and finally am getting ready to build it, I’m calling it the “ScottoWing”. It will have both 3x5 and 3x6 layouts as an option along with various different styles for the plates. All files will be available for free once I upload the build video on my YouTube channel.

The ScottoStarter handwired keyboard
Anyway, when I share my boards, I like to share a few things: 1. I make videos on these boards along with tons of things related to them such as QMK, handwiring, PCBs, etc. 2. All the handwired boards I design are released completely for free. 3. You can keep up to date on the project or support me at scottokeebs.com.

[Store] ScottoKeebs | Scotto34 (PCB Edition), Handwiring Parts, Corne, Free Shipping
All my handwired boards are released open-sourced and for free but if you don't have a 3D printer, you can support the project by buying a case from my shop. I like to think that my cases are priced pretty competitively with print-on-demand services and I make sure they are printed with the proper tolerances before shipping.
- [Store] Scotto34 (PCB Edition) available now!

Mirror KLE JSON?
I have this KLE JSON that I made for a split board, it renders as the following on KLE:

Finally finished my ScottoFly!
I'm pretty hyped this is finally built. Following /u/JoeScotto's instructions at https://github.com/joe-scotto/scottokeebs/tree/main/ScottoFly and https://www.youtube.com/@joe_scotto made it way easier! I highly recommend checking his resources out for build and handwiring instructions.

What are some 36 key layout without home row mods?
All of my boards in my ScottoKeebs project avoid homerow mods. I put mods on the thumb cluster, shift on Z and ?, and various tap dance functions to get full functionality.

My newest wireless handwired single-handed keyboard
It actually has all the keys of a regular keyboard: https://github.com/joe-scotto/scottokeebs/blob/main/ScottoFrog/Firmware/single-handed.jpg
Anyway, as usual when I share my boards, I like to share a few things: 1. I make videos on these boards and have one planned for this one eventually. 2. All the boards I design are released completely for free. 3. You can keep up to date on the project at scottokeebs.com
