Use a framework or build from scratch?
I am working on a freelance project where the client wants to build a messaging/social application similar to WhatsApp. I am the only developer working, so I will be building it all, singlehandedly. In the application, for the chat module, should I implement a third-party framework like the Chat SDK (https://github.com/chat-sdk/chat-sdk-ios) or write the code for the view and the functionality entirely from scratch?
What are some alternatives?
ChatLayout - ChatLayout is an alternative solution to MessageKit. It uses custom UICollectionViewLayout to provide you full control over the presentation as well as all the tools available in UICollectionView. It supports dynamic cells and supplementary view sizes.
