    There was "itsalltext"[1] (sadly defunct) - but there's an alternative (i just discovered - so I've yet to try it) : ghosttext https://github.com/fregante/GhostText

    I used to use the itsalltext extension that did exactly that, but sadly it's not compatible with newer versions of Firefox anymore. The readme recommends GhostText which I haven't tried.
