Agreed that the old Sun hardware was pretty classy. :) They went through a number of different boot logos: https://github.com/mdehling/sun-fb-logos (I think my favorite was the CG6 framebuffer one, though I'm probably dating myself quite a bit with that opinion, haha).

Just installed NetBSD on a SPARCstation 5 clone
In "normal" operation you should get the framebuffer logo in the top left corner (you should get the cg6 logo from the look of it, examples here), and some description of the machine and its configuration next to it.

https://github.com/mdehling/sun-fb-logos/blob/main/HOWTO.ado... describes how to dump firmware images; I assume after that getting these is as easy as pointing binwalk or something at it?
