  • Is there a step by step guide for the Belkin RT3200?
    1 project | | 18 Feb 2022
One option is to follow the "Installation Instructions" on this page, paying close attention to the backups you need to take if you want to restore the original firmware.
  • Bought a Belkin RT3200 however it seems is a bricked unit with OpenWrt?
    1 project | | 10 Feb 2022
It seems from your screenshot that it is running the UBI build, which comes default with the theme you showed. That's a bummer if you want to use the stock firmware, restoring it is more difficult (or impossible if it was flashed twice.) Check out for details on how to check whether you can revert to stock.

  • Confused about installation
    1 project | | 7 Dec 2021
I've also installed it on a pair of Linksys E8450. For this model, you might want to consider using the image files found here if you are fine with nuking the mediocre vendor firmware completely.
  • Is it currently possible to build an x86 router with an internal WiFi6 adapter?

I’m using version 0.6.0 of the Ubi installer
  • Router review: Belkin RT3200 - The best AX router for OpenWrt (for now)
    2 projects | | 26 Oct 2021
I recently got a pair of Belkin RT3200 routers from the recent Walmart deal since apparently it was one of just a half dozen AX routers that support OpenWrt. I went with the Daniel's excellent UBI installer and everything worked great.

More space to install packages, has wear-leveling, seems a bit more stable - see this for more info
  • How's Belkin RT3200?
    1 project | | 21 Oct 2021
I have two (the Linksys E8450 variant) and have had them running OpenWRT for quite a while. No major issues. Installer that you might consider if you are fine nuking the vendor firmware->
  • I think I broke my router when trying to install openWRT? (Belkin RT3200)
    2 projects | | 24 Sep 2021
At first, I tried to select the file openwrt-mediatek-mt7622-linksys_e8450-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin as the update file for my router, that did nothing, then I tried using openwrt-mediatek-mt7622-linksys_e8450-initramfs-kernel.bin, and now my router is broken I think. Would someone please help me? I was going to use this, but the script didn't work.

Second, the directions indicate that if you are flashing from the OEM Web GUI that you should be using the .itb file instead of the .bin (presumably that is for sysupgrade once converted to UBI flash layout). There are pre generated images available here (linked from the github page).
