I think its the Custom Furniture file currently on nexus, try overwriting it with the Custom Furniture Strobe put out here. It's the one I'm using without problems at the moment.

Here's a PyTK issue that sounded relevant, but I tried the workaround and it didn't fix the issue.

A lot of people have been reporting their spouse glitched to 0,0 on the farmhouse map. A comment here explains why, tl;dr: 1.5.5 changed how spouse rooms need to be handled and it's not compatible with how TMXL does. No idea when that will be fixed.
