React event handlers with Typescript and JSX
I'm having problems updating state in a React component I'm writing in TypeScript (React with Addons 0.13.3, Typescript 1.6.0-dev.20150804, definition file from http://definitelytyped.org/).

I love typescript, but I really can’t stand:
Not related to TS as a language, so my apologies if that's what you meant OP, but flawed DefinitelyTyped packages (@types/[package])...

React Inner Image Zoom Version 3.0.0
What's the big thing to look out for? By popular demand, the imgAttributes prop was added to pass down (almost) any valid React img attributes in a single object instead of as individual props. That means scrSet, sizes, alt, and title are gone but in exchange you get all the data attributes and event handlers you could want. I haven't submitted updated type definitions to DefinitelyTyped yet but I'll try to get that done in the next few days.

Using a React (No TypeScript) package inside a React-TS project
Whilst not 100%, the DefinitelyTyped website gives you typings on loads of 3rd party libs that do not include it out of the box.

Handling dates in JavaScript with Tempo
Even with the initial pitfalls of JavaScript dates, the ecosystem managed to tackle those challenges with good libraries. Some use the native JavaScript date while others have instead created their own robust tools to make up for the quirks JavaScript dates might have. With the JavaScript Temporal API about to roll out, working with dates and time in JavaScript will only improve.
