Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

I need help with making some mods work, focus on B9 part switch critical error that prevents game launch.
Okay, the B9 error appears to be related to a mod called Keridian Dynamics. I'm guessing that there is a missing definition in one of its config files, or in B9's, but I'd look at KD first, or raise the issue on the github. Supposedly, CrossFeedEnabler has long since been subsumed into stock, so I'm not sure why you have it. You can get a working version of MechJeb here. Not sure which version of TweakScale you grabbed, but this one claims to work for 1.12.2. Finally, here is a version of Firespitter for KSP v1.11, which is at least v1.8+. Good luck! :)
