Streamlabs not retaining correct file path to pictures - changes file path to a cached location
I've started using Snip (https://github.com/dlrudie/Snip/releases) to show song details on my stream. It works very well, does exactly as it's meant to with Streamlabs.

Help a new streamer out with a "Now Playing" overlay in OBS?
https://github.com/dlrudie/Snip you can add your own local mp3s to Spotify. Use Snip to output the song info to a text file and add a GDI text source in your scene and point it at the file snip generates.

Snip now playing
Heyo, does anyone use Snip?? https://github.com/dlrudie/Snip/releases i want to play music from VLC and have a now playing on my overlay. I had to download an older version bcs the dev stopped supporting anything but itunes and spotify. Ive figured everything out except for one thing. When the name of the song comes up, there is no gap between the start and end of the title. E.g. the song “Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You Up” will be displayed as “Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You UpRick Astley - Never Gonna Give You UpRick Astley - Never Gonna Give You Up etc etc”. Yeah, doesnt look to nice. Ive tried to edit the output format but it didnt work. Idk if its me or its bcs i downpatched. (i had to download ver 6.10.2)

Song Artist and Title
There is a little utility called Snip that puts the currently playing iTunes or Spotify track information into a text file. Then you can have OBS read that file and display it however you like.

How to copy a file between devices?
There is also Send.Vis.ee, which is a community fork of Firefox Send. It has always worked very well for me personally. There are many public instances available with varying sizes and expiring conditions.

Ask HN: What is the best FOSS file sharing protocol/app?
Probably not what you are asking for, but if you would like to host on your own server, there is https://github.com/timvisee/send which is a fork of Firefox's Send.
You get a web interface where you can drag and drop files. It uploads the files to your own server and you will get a link to share them.

Send

Zippyshare is shutting down
Not much of a point to that. File upload forms are pretty trivial for one, and there already are plenty of good open-source solutions for that (e.g. send or pomf). Your main challenge is going to be finding the disk space/bandwidth for that sort of thing, but anyone with enough resources can already run a zippyshare "clone" with zero issues.
