Thanks so much for documenting and sharing this! Have you taken a look at Telegroam? I ask because I think you might be able to use this approach to do things like - instantly see results populate vs wait 10 mins, upload files and images directly to Roam firebase on import, etc. A combination of these would feel great because Telegram doesn’t work very well with Siri Shortcuts.

My biggest problem with Roam. Speed.
No firm ETA but it seems to be a priority. For now use Telegroam.

I use Telegroam. It's the best option I found. It's basically a telegram bot that imports everything you give it to Roam. It takes text, links, media, voice messages, everything. https://github.com/mbrock/telegroam

If you use Telegram, you can use https://github.com/mbrock/telegroam plugin. It allow you to forward photos from telegram to roam
