What we’re missing in DCS is an integrated defense system, with ew radars and other systems all communicating. Skynet IADS can do a lot of this. Haven’t tried their newer versions yet, though.

About all that AI...
One of the more impressive if niche example of this is the Skynet IADS air defense system in DCS. But this works precisely because a lot of thought by the developers and real military developers has been put into how to automate this system over the decades and it’s narrowly focused on a very specific set of discrete actions. https://github.com/walder/Skynet-IADS

I think the Mission Editor in Dcs needs more attention by Ed.
Would love to see ME support for some of the most useful third party scripting systems like MOOSE and Skynet/IADS. This wouldn't have to be specific to those systems, it could just be better standardization of DCS interfaces that those systems connect to and the ME lets you call.

PSA: the SA-10 missiles have been updated in 2.7.11. They accelerate way faster, have less drag, and are now much more lethal.
Can I just pop in a mention of the High Digit SAMs mod here, for people who enjoy a slightly more challenging environment? It manages to make the newly updated SA10 feel like an occasional minor inconvenience.

SA-2 impossible to avoid
I suspect the SA-2 is very much overperforming against agile targets... I use the missile from this mod for my own missions.

- I was excited for my first kill of an SA-10 radar with a HARM missile since getting the Hornet this week :)
