Recovering from saved sqlite database
I accidentally my whole phone. I do have a Titanium Backup of Simple SMS Messenger, from which I can extract the conversations.db. However, when I launch the app, it replaces the conversations. I do not have an export. I would like a method of merging / importing the old conversations from the database. I'm techy and can write SQL, Python, etc. I've had a quick look at the exporter to see if I can replicate the JSON format of the exported conversations. But I thought I might ask in case anyone here has already solved this or has better advice. Cheers!

Finally ditched almost all proprietary apps and hosted my own home server for media streaming and files/photo sharing. (Still using WhatsApp, Classroom and some food ordering apps though)

Signal Replacement
I wasn't impressed with Simple SMS, the devs are a bit slow to fix issues such as the one i reported.

Removing SMS support from Signal Android (soon)
I take about sms app...QKSMS (https://github.com/moezbhatti/qksms) seems dead...But there is an active fork, PartisanSMS (https://github.com/wrwrabbit/Partisan-SMS), cons : it's not on f-droid...Simple SMS (https://github.com/SimpleMobileTools/Simple-SMS-Messenger/) not a huge fan of Simple apps... but on f-droid.Sad about all of this... It was a pro to migrate some people...

How to modify the contact profile in Android without allowing access to your files?
Don't use that app, and disable it if you can. Use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.simplemobiletools.contacts / https://f-droid.org/packages/com.simplemobiletools.contacts.pro if you can, no funny business with this amazing open-source (https://github.com/SimpleMobileTools/Simple-Contacts) app

A group of open source Android apps without ads or unnecessary permissions
I bought Simple Contacts Pro, it's great but it has enough papercuts to where I went back to True Phone. Here are my bug reports:
Set default phone number for contact: https://github.com/SimpleMobileTools/Simple-Contacts/issues/...
Cannot create new group (category) for Nextcloud account/address book: https://github.com/SimpleMobileTools/Simple-Contacts/issues/...
Favorites tab showing contacts from all accounts: https://github.com/SimpleMobileTools/Simple-Contacts/issues/...

Cant import .vcf file in contacts app
That's weird, does it work when using another contacts app such as Simple Contacts?
- Bought Simple Contacts Pro, but had to uninstall it.
