Searching for projects to refactor for my academic research
I started SiVi using Java 6, and a couple years after starting, did a major refactor in an attempt to make use of "funtional programming" design patterns. I've done more refactoring as part of adding features here and there. The latest (a couple months ago) was to restructure a few areas to facilitate incorporating parallel worker threads to improve performance. Being self-taught, I'm pretty sure there will be areas ripe for improvement.

Vinyl: Relational Streams for Java
Interesting. How does it compare with Tablesaw, which also claims to do grouping, joins, window functions? https://github.com/jtablesaw/tablesaw

Does Java has similar project like this one in C#? (ml, data)
For data frames, tablesaw or anything with apache arrow interop would be a good way to go: https://github.com/jtablesaw/tablesaw
