Shizuku VS awesome-shizuku

Shizuku (version 1028): using system APIs directly with adb/root privileges from normal apps

Download and install Shizuku (https://github.com/RikkaApps/Shizuku/releases/download/v13.3.0/shizuku-v13.3.0.r993.5392b9d-release.apk)

It uses Shizuku to be a theme engine for your device, allowing themes beyond Material You! You can also use another launcher. Nova Launcher lets you use different icon packs.

Swift Backup requires another app called Shizuku to run batch restores of apps and to backup external app data. The backup provider, Seedvault, is not super reliable, but I do like it when it works and I've had good luck with it myself. It's helped me a lot on restores and even helped me jump from ROM to ROM! A tip when backing up: look at progress, success and failure of the backup by pulling down the notification shade. If the backup keeps failing, go into Backup Status, click on the menu on the upper right hand side and select "exclude apps". You are probably trying to back up too many apps at a time, start with excluding apps at the bottom of the list that do not allow data backup. Don't worry, Swift backup will grab them.

But what is one to do if they desire some good backup tools, want to freeze apps, or just have some fun? Never fear, Shizuku is here! If you've never heard of it, it's the famous root tool, the package of Linux command line tools known as Shu packages into an app. It utilizes on-device ADB, also known as wireless debugging, to start a server that other apps can connect to, and utilize it's power!

Shizuku seems to be a reliable way to get Root-like permissions in a device that doesn't have root. João could potentially bypass the need for Tasker Settings and the Tasker Permissions by using Shizuku.

on their github page, they do explain why apps that support shizuku do still gain advantages on root (that is also why theres some root only apps that use shizuku

You activate "USB debugging" and "wireless debugging" in the developer options. You have to be connected to a WiFi network, then you connect it with a pairing code. Just follow the tutorial in the app, it's really easy. Have a look at this list of really nice Shizuku apps
