Checking App Version against latest
If you’re trying to do this with private/Enterprise apps, my company made a library that does this similar to the Sparkle library for macOS. You can find it here: https://github.com/EightyThreeCreative/ShineUpdater

Will Librewolf ever have Auto-Update?
I hope you'll find the time to download the new PowerShell script from there, put it into the same folder as LibreWolf-WinUpdater.exe and try it out (right-click, "Run with PowerShell"). You can post your findings here or in the issue on Codeberg (or create a new one on GitHub if you already have an account there).

updating
/u/AbrarFN The build process was changed, which also meant the download location was changed somewhat. I wasn't (made) aware of this until the new release was already online. I updated LibreWolf WinUpdater within the hour, you can get it from https://codeberg.org/ltguillaume/librewolf-winupdater/releases/latest or https://github.com/ltguillaume/librewolf-winupdater/releases/latest

How do I update librewolf on windows?
Just use https://github.com/ltGuillaume/LibreWolf-WinUpdater for automatic updates.
- Any way to make updating easier on Windows 10?
-
Auto-Update
Functionality is simply not implemented for some reason, but there are workarounds to that like using a package manager or installing the updater they recommend in their site

LibreWolf Updater can be trusted?
This is about the extension. Since u/DotaFSS was asking about an app, I assume his question was with regard to https://github.com/ltGuillaume/LibreWolf-WinUpdater

Tips for librewolf!
This won't update LibreWolf automatically. When a new version is released, you have to manually install the new setup.exe again. If you want to get notified when a new version is released, you can get the unofficial LibreWolf Updater extension You can also take a look at the unofficial LibreWolf-WinUpdater, which automatically updates LibreWolf on Windows when its not running.
