I realized that when i made the "Dead Horse" thread, instead of sparking discussion about the subreddit, it turned into a pitchfork factory. Instead of complaining about an issue with no merit, here's how to make your TF2 Weapon Idea not look *as* dumb.
Test it out in-game. I know not all of you are good with computers, but if you have about 2 1/2 hours to burn and decent wifi, you can go to https://github.com/mrphil2105/TF2-Server-Manager, and just straight up download a server. It does everything, and I mean EVERYTHING you need to do to open a server, including opening the appropriate ports on your router. Install the requirements for Custom Weapons X, found here, https://github.com/nosoop/SM-TFCustomWeaponsX, and then download the mod itself. It takes some time, but it's a nice thing to do. And then, just...make some weapons. I have literally zero knowledge of programing or coding, but because the example weapon found within CWX's files contains a tutorial, it's honestly kind of easy to pick up and do. I have somewhere north of 20 custom weapons in my server, and fixing them is easy.

TF2 Server Manager and Port Forwarding
I am having a really difficult time trying to set up a simple server. I've been using the help of this TF2 Server Manger (Image link, so you don't have to download anything) and have been so far unsuccessful at getting the server to run (or rather, getting the server to run and making it joinable), due to the port mapping. Usually you could configure port forwarding within your routers settings, however I've been unable to find any option labeled "port forwarding" or "port mapping", which can be seen on numerous tutorials on the internet.
