It's a command-line app and as such rather difficult to configure. But using a GUI makes that a lot easier. Look at 2 slightly different option from the same developer: RsyncOSX manual here and/or RsyncUI manual here

There is a utility called rsyncOSX that uses a GUI to help you set up rsync. I used something similar years ago (the app I used isn’t in active development anymore).
