Map P2 to P1 controls for specific game
Since your version is from before the switch from Stretch to Buster with RetroPie 4.6 in 2020, unfortunately you'll not be able to upgrade in-place. You will need to backup and reinstall.

Where is the file this is generated from stored?

How to install FBN on retropie
What version do you run that doesn't have a FinalBurn option? FBN or its predecessor FBA have been included pre-installed by default for a very long time.

White lines that blink in and out when using ES. Any fixes?
Windows is outdated and no longer supported officially by the original creator of EmulationStation. I use jrassa's fork that you can find here: https://github.com/jrassa/EmulationStation/releases

JRassa Win10 Emulationstation will not run games
I am using this ES on Win10. i have it setup and can see the games and such, but when I try to launch a game it errors out with "...launch terminated with nonzero exit code 1!". I have read in other places to double quote the config and that works when I run the line from the command prompt, but not directly from ES. Here is my config:
- No windows updates since 2015
- (Windows) Who uses RetroArch as front end/launcher?
-
RetroArch & LaunchBox
The continuous builds in https://github.com/jrassa/EmulationStation/releases/ did work though

It is WASDay my bumpkins. (11/08/21)
I don't use launchbox but instead use retroarch with Emulationstation as a front end. It's a lovely setup. There is a fork of ES which is constantly updated. Here's a link if anyone's interested

How would I make a separate theme for each system?
That's a great tutorial. There might be a few things out of date but doubtful. What it lacks is info about using new theming features like video, grids, etc. Info on that stuff can be found here: https://github.com/jrassa/EmulationStation/blob/master/THEMES.md
