I updated my Windows VM to Win11. I got a ton of goodies installed. And that's a local account. Fun Fact: Firefox and Waterfox were pinned both in the panel and in the menu before the "Upgrade".
This script was a godsend when I was rolling out new laptops with win11 at work. It removes all of the bloat in win10/11, coupled with an intune policy for pinned start menu apps to get rid of the pinned garbage. It's unacceptable for that shit to be in a "professional" os.

The unreasonable effectiveness of i3, or: ten years of a boring desktop
Scripts like https://github.com/Raphire/Win11Debloat help, but should not be needed in the first place.
Note that modern Linux is also leaning towards the same trend. But i admit it is still much easier to avoid those for power users. Snap, i'm looking at you also...

First PC build
For my Windows, I first run a ‘debloat’ script to remove all of the unnecessary bloatware that is included with Windows. This is the one I use. Afterward, I use Macrium Reflect to back up both my OS and my Games storage onto two separate storage drives (all internal m.2 drives). After that, regular cleaning of the disks using Disk Cleanup, maybe one/week, and everything runs smoothly.

Being offered the IT position at my small company (~10 PCs). Long time since I last played with Windows...
I'm a fan of using a debloat script.

Just installed Win 10 on a new machine (no choice; different discussion). I have minimal experience with it. Can someone point to a respected, maintained guide to privacy settings?
Most of the bloat can be removed with powershell commands, many of which can be found in lots of articles online with a search. This script removes some typical stuff.
