Rekado VS Haku33

When using with your phone, you often need a USB OTG adapter. If you're using Android, I'm assuming you're using Rekado. Here's an excerpt from their GitHub page about this:

Some advice for after you've booted into custom firmware and got it all set up: consider using AutoRCM. It corrupts a single byte in the Switch's bootloader which causes it to boot automatically into RCM after every power cycle, eliminating the need for an RCM jig entirely after the first use. All you need to do then is inject your chosen payload using Rekado (if on Android), or iOUSB (if on iOS).

After looking into how Atmosphere boots by looking for a reboot_payload.bin which you can have as ANY payload file (mine is Hekate) I've not needed to inject it by hand in a long time. And if I do ever need to I do it with my phone even using Rekado

Your console stores telemetry data for any pirated content, so as soon as it connects to Nintendo's servers, you'll eventually be banned as Nintendo has all the info they need. Use Haku33 to completely wipe all console data including pirated content.

I don't want my Nintendo Switch anymore, I didn't really do too many vids on it. I want to return it, well trade it in at Gamestop. So, I'm wondering what's the best way to wipe the whole system clean? Should, I just use https://github.com/StarDustCFW/Haku33 and call it a day? I did a back-up of my system before I even started to mod it.

This won't help you out right now, but if you do somehow manage to push a payload and get atmosphere back up and running, nuke that new switch with Haku33, that will clean out everything that you flashed on it and restore it back to factory state.
