Not sure how to Google the answer to this so I’m coming to Reddit! Is there a setting to fix this? I don’t remember it doing this on my 2016 MacBook Pro but is happening on my new 14in MacBook Pro. I would prefer the side of my Mac to act as a wall and not lose content behind it.

there isn't much of an option because mac does not have that feature but there are third-party apps, I am also a windows user so I use this feature constantly, I use Rectangle mainly because its free (https://rectangleapp.com/)2 projects | reddit.com/r/MacOS | 1 Dec 2021
You can also use Rectangle to snap using the keyboard
Shinglify - Tiling window manager within XFCE

This sounds great. I am moving from Mac OS where I got used to using Rectangle to manage windows efficiently via the keyboard. I was a tad surprised when I got to linux and learned that such functionality was available only if you use specific environments and they all require a lot of configuration to become even workable. For some reason I had assumed it would be omni present. I think I somewhat understand why it's not now that I see in at least a superficial way how much variety there is and that it would be difficult for anything to just magically work.

Latest, recommended way to purge/uninstall Go, then start over

I can recommend asdf version manager. It's a good way to manage Go versions. Also many popular tools have asdf plugins.
Am I the only one around here who needs version managing on more than 1 language, so I use asdf to get version managing for basically every language I use.

Ah, this is from my notes. Then you might have to use node version 14 (i.e. by using asdf or nvm).
Question: Is there an rbenv for Crystal?
4 projects | reddit.com/r/crystal_programming | 11 Nov 2021
I don't use it but I've heard of asdf, which is a version manager like rbenv or rvm, but language agnostic, there's a community plugin for Crystal.

I use asdf vm for python development. You can easily install different python versions (and many other languages) with it.
