Multiple users reporting Microsoft apps have disappeared
I've created a powershell script to try to fix the mess with the startmenu. It requires you to get the lnk files from some other pc but it should help in restoring from this https://github.com/Georg311/RecreateStartMenu/

How can I make this more automated? Batch into powershell
The second is very simple. You simply download the file https://github.com/asheroto/winget-installer/releases/download/0.0.3/winget-install.ps1 which is a powershell script. And then execute it using powershell. There are many ways to download the file, you can use powershell as well but I would use curl. curl https://github.com/asheroto/winget-installer/releases/download/0.0.3/winget-install.ps1 should work. Then you follow it up after confirming the file has downloaded if Exist winget-install.ps1 powershell -NoProfile -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File winget_install.ps1

Running a PowerShell command in a .bat
powershell -NoProfile -InputFormat None -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -Command "[System.Net.ServicePointManager]::SecurityProtocol = 3072; iex ((New-Object System.Net.WebClient).DownloadString('https://github.com/asheroto/winget-installer/releases/download/0.0.3/winget-install.ps1'))"
