Instead of the neutered Realtek Audio Console I am using the one with the equalizer. You can download it here: https://github.com/pal1000/Realtek-UAD-generic/release Unzip the RealtekAudioControl_1.41.290-offline.zip file. Click on the setup.cmd file to install.

Use DDU to remove anything Audio related to Realtek. Restart the PC and download the drivers from pal1000 https://github.com/pal1000/Realtek-UAD-generic/releases and see if that helps

Try this one.

Uninstall the driver and install https://github.com/pal1000/Realtek-UAD-generic along with the Realtek Audio Control Panel, since with my laptop, uninstalling Waves Maxx Audio Pro disables headphone jack detection.

Or you can install pal1000's Realtek UAD drivers and the latest Realtrek Audio Control 1.41.290.0.

Finally, you could try modded drivers from either Alan Finotty with his AAF Optimus Sound package which has a ton of options and AIOs such as Dolby Digital, DTS-X, Atmos, etc etc and some additional applications (but you can select if you want them or not), or the Pal Realtek package.

The Realtek Audio Control that's posted on pal1000's thread is just an updated version, 1.41.289.0, of the same Realtek Audio Console (Control) that you posted a pic of. Looks the same and does NOT have an audio equalizer.

Windows Update and many other services constantly wakes the computer up and checking for updates / doing maintenance. You can disable those maintenance tasks permanently (but not disabling the capability itself!) by using my script here: https://github.com/jamestut/alenaify Note that if you choose to run this script, read the included README thoroughly to understand what it does.

Once you get everything setup, debloat the Windows, as Windows 10 is very notorious for having a lot of background services that often hogs the CPU. The i7 9750H in your XPS is a very powerful CPU: any misbehaving background tasks will make that CPU hot. The one that works for me is this one: https://github.com/jamestut/alenaify

I just want to add to this as well. First of all, sorry if this is too long, but I really wanted to share my experience. So my primary work/study is always related to Linux. I was a Linux user until 2018 when I switched to Windows 10, primarily because lured away by WSL. Most of the annoyances of Windows can be fixed (think auto updates, many background processes, etc. I even created a script for automating fixing it! here: https://github.com/jamestut/alenaify ).
