Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Is there a diagrammatic (preferrably) explanation on how GUI sessions are done on GNOME/Ubuntu?
Personally I use my own startx implementation for x11 sessions, and a hook in my ~/.profile to start the Hyprland compositor. My config is sort of all over the place so definitely feel free to ask questions.

What do you think are the good features a bash prompt should have?
My zsh prompt is simple. It has my pwd, my error code, number of jobs, if I have passwordless sudo, if I’m in vi-mode, and it is transient too so it takes up less space when I hit enter. https://github.com/REALERvolker1/homescripts/blob/main/.config/zsh/rc.d/40-prompt.zsh

A Way to Manage Dotfiles
and so on, for each config file. My general dotfiles repo is public here, if you want to take a look how I did it for the tools I use: https://github.com/bewuethr/dotfiles
This still isn't ideal. For example, I use Git submodules for Vim plugins in the shared repo – but maybe I don't need all of that on my Raspberry pi. I feel like at some point, a config file based solution could be better; or using a tool such as https://yadm.io/, which is using bare repos under the hood.
What are some alternatives?
