Hello! I have an almost identical issue with React (not Native m) on my project Nook. Basically what the issue seems to be is some rules that iOS has about audio elements. For one auto play isn’t allow, but also .play() must be called directly from a user’s action. With Nook my issue is that I have a React state so that it is easier to manage settings updates and playing the rain audio file. See this.
