Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

- [News] this is a big news for open source devs.

Are any other mod devs or modpack makers getting DMCA attacks related to Corail Tombstones mod?
IIRC it started when someone made a post saying "Whoever made thorium look like diamond is a butt". Landmaster, the dev for that mod, added code to PlusTiC that makes it so the OP of that post crashes when they try to join worlds.

Aseprite scripts in Libresprite
From glancing at https://github.com/LibreSprite/LibreSprite/tree/master/src/app/script/api, my impression is no. You'd need to go through the Aseprite script and translate to LibreSprite's API.

Why can't Linux just work?
Is LibreSprite an option for you? They offer an AppImage and a Flathub version.

Pixel art, gif animations like Flipnote Studio on Steam Deck
I have also seen Aseprite being recommended. It looks nice and I'm sure it works well, but it is not open source unfortunately. There is an open source alternative called LibreSprite, which seems to mimic Aseprite quite closely.
- LibreSprite 1.0
- Could anybody provide me with a download of Aseprite For Mac? It would mean the world. Thanks in advance

Can noobs meme?
You should try LibreSprite. It comes with clear (installation instructions) and on the releases page you can download an appimage (you don’t need to compile it yourself). Make sure to install fuse in order to run the appimage, and make it executable.

Audacity telemetry incoming
For example, this happened with Aseprite (the pixel art editor). Now, what happened then (and could happen to Audacity): a fork was made from the last released GPL version, which is called LibreSprite.
-
Copilot regurgitating Quake code, including swear-y comments and license
It used to be GPLv2, they changed the license, and now there's an open source fork LibreSprite. You can read about the change here.
