Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Bare Metal Emulation on the Raspberry Pi – Commodore 64
See also, PiTubeDirect[1], which runs on a Raspberry Pi which you have plugged into the second processor port of a BBC Micro[2], and turns the Pi into emulator for a number of different processors, notably an arbitrarily fast 6502, a Z80, or an 80286.

Modern CPUs have a backstage cast
IMHO this makes the PiTube Direct project perhaps even more impressive: it attaches emulated vintage microprocessors to the BBC Micro Tube interface, implementing the Tube circuitry in software.

BBC Micro/Master - PiTubeDirect - emulates a load of second CPUs for for BBC. Lets you run CP/M, DOS.

Pimp my Beeb
It's a shame he desoldered the tube connector. He could have used it for a pitubedirect (https://github.com/hoglet67/PiTubeDirect)

Connecting an 8086 or 8088 processor to a Raspberry Pi
There's a similar project for the Acorn BBC Micro called PiTubeDirect, which allows the Pi to emulate several different CPUs, while connected to the BBC Micro's "tube" second processor slot.
https://github.com/hoglet67/PiTubeDirect
(The BBC Micro itself was quite remarkable for supporting multiple processors, which did not have to be the same architecture as the host 6502.)

Finally! I'm the proud owner of a BBC Micro again!
If you ever do want to play with Tube like this, I've heard of https://github.com/hoglet67/PiTubeDirect - not got around to trying it yet - but I want to.

Found this copy of Elite in my loft the other day.
I expect the tube version will be for 6502 3mhz, but worry not! https://github.com/hoglet67/PiTubeDirect/wiki

Raspberry Pi-based mods for retro consoles/computers
Computers: 1. Commodore 64 Pi1541 - emulates 1541 floppy drive for Commodore 64. Video review 2. Amiga RGB2HDMI - convert Amiga's RGB video signal into friendly HDMI output. Video review 3. Amiga Pistorm - emulates faster version of Motorola 68000 CPU. Theoretically, can be used in any machine that uses 68k chip. But I hear mostly about Amiga Pistorm implementation. Basically, Pi Zero emulates faster CPU, video modes, acts as HDD storage, HDMI output etc. Pistorm does what popular Amiga accelerator boards do for hundreds of space bucks. Video review

Live Commodore Amiga DJ Stream from the UK
What fun! It's so good to see these systems still in use.
The Amiga community never fails to impress. In addition to modern updates to AmigaDOS (3.2.1 is great), there are projects to replace battery damaged motherboards, to replace hard-to-find custom chips, to offer brand new accelerators, and to even use a Raspberry Pi as an inexpensive accelerator (https://github.com/captain-amygdala/pistorm) for those on a budget.

You can't buy a Raspberry Pi
2 years to get a PiStorm amiga accelerator at a decent price (https://github.com/captain-amygdala/pistorm) due to chip shortage.
Finally managed to get 3 PiStorm boards (for a more decent price than the scams off ebay), but I have only one Pi 3B, and the 3A+ or Zero 2 are nowhere to be found
Only option is to buy 3B/B+ which are a little more common, at 3x+ the price, and unsolder the usb connector.
Sure feels like back in the amiga days when I was waiting for the Emplant to emulate a PC and whatnot... or waiting for Gateway, Escom, etc... to do something useful...
Come to think of it, it's a perfect retro experience WITH post-1994 frustrations of waiting with constant hopes and failures as a bonus :)

Pimiga Powered Amiga
This isn't a Raspberry Pi powered Amiga. (Which is a thing, see PiStorm: https://github.com/captain-amygdala/pistorm)
This is just a Raspberry Pi running an emulator. Any computer could do this.
- I don't want to be a d**k to anyone... But I have to ask this question.
