I think the "problem" here is not that much with hosting than PHP dependencies. It seems to me easier to change hosting than third party librairies in some cases. (Ex. PayumBundle)

Just to be clear, I am not complaining. To be honest, in the project I have in mind, there are 80ish dependencies (including symfony ones) and there are 6 dependencies that are not ready for PHP 8 and only 1 of those 6 is clearly abandoned. (Facebook PHP SDK) But that is enough to block migrating the project to PHP8 for now.
