KDE Plasma and grouped-application task switching
I think this script (demoed here) might be something that you'd want to look into. However, development is paused and I've no idea if it currently works. Still, you might add a link to the script in the bug report and perhaps contact Nate Graham to let him know this exists.

5.24 Overview Button
5.24 brought the amazing Overview effect to Plasma, it's beautiful and useful. With Parachute breaking in 5.23 the Overview effect was highly anticipated and now that it's native, a user no longer needs to install a separate Kwin script to get this awesome virtual desktop switcher / window previewer.

some good looking background on desktop grid like in blur-me with gnome 40 would be awesome
you can try using parachute, it will show you your desktop wallpaper with blur plus it has more functionality (krunner) and looks better in my opinion. It also works with the compositor turned off https://github.com/tcorreabr/Parachute

Yet another guide to configuring Linux on G14.
My fusuma config: I have configured fusuma to move to right virtual desktop on three finger swipe right, left virtual desktop on three finger swipe left, run parachute (MacOS like overview) on three finger swipe up, and show desktop on three finger swipe down. In order to do so, I had to configure KDE shortcuts, parachute automatically adds ctrl+super+d shortcut and if I correctly remember, KDE has meta + d to show desktop by default . My config is as follows:

Teach this GNOME user the Plasma way
All I really wanted was a workspace picker the one in Windows 10, Elementary OS, MacOS, GNOME, and Deepin. I wanted to avoid installing Parachute because just I don't enjoy tweaking my desktop, digging through settings, or troubleshooting; I just want the defaults to work because I couldn't actually get Parachute to work. (Yes, I know what activities are and how they work, but they're not what I'm looking for.)

[Vanilla Arch] The app "Emote" doesn't work. Help?
Note - Emote under Wayland cannot automatically paste the emoji into other apps and also requires manual registering of a global keyboard shortcut - Hotkey In Wayland. This is due to intentional restrictions in the design of Wayland itself.

Emoji Picker (+ Launcher?) for Sway
I currently use Wofi as my launcher, also experimentally as my password manager and as a quick text entry tool that uses a script to talk to the notion API. I also separately use Emote as my emoji-picker, it does however, currently have the limitation of pasting into apps, so it only copies to clipboard.

Any idea how to implement emoji shortcut panel in Xfce?
However, this thing is gtk-specific. The most efficient workaround is to use another custom emoji picker, such as Emote or Rofi-emoji (I use this)
