PD2-Converter VS imewlconverter

As we have made some changes to Open Wounds Damage Per Second affixes anyone who is playing Single Player and wishes to keep their Open Wounds Damage Per Second items will need to use the character convertor made by BetweenWalls to convert their saves to season 8 or drop their items with Open Wounds Damage Per Second to prevent any issues. https://github.com/BetweenWalls/PD2-Converter/archive/main.zip

The only items that'll break anything will be maps. You can either drop them before updating, or use the converter once it gets updated.

If you're concerned about singleplayer characters, it's easy to revert back to s6 if you accidentally update to s7 before dropping all the maps. In the past, I made a converter tool that updated singleplayer characters without the need for them to drop items, and it'll probably work for this as well once the new s7 files are added to it.

If you have older s1/s2 singleplayer files, the PD2-Converter was made to update them to more recent seasons. It wasn't updated this season, but there haven't been any fundamental changes since s3 so it should still work.

Singleplayer characters? Yeah, although none of your original melee weapons will have "melee attacks deal splash damage" and there may be some other minor issues too. All old items will keep their old stats, but new items you find will use whatever their updated PD2 stats are. You'll likely need to use the converter: https://github.com/BetweenWalls/PD2-Converter

If your old characters & stash are from season 3, you should be fine. If it's season 2, you'll either need to drop a bunch of items or use this: https://github.com/BetweenWalls/PD2-Converter

If you want to continue in singleplayer on PD2, you can just copy your character files to wherever they need to go. If the character doesn't load for whatever reason, checkout the PD2-Converter to update the files.
